چکیده
Principles of moving mass control the orbital parameters an artificial dumbbell shaped satellite are discussed in present paper. The rationale is to implement a non-jet principle actuation by varying geometry through its internal degrees-of-freedom. This can be achieved spinning massive parts and changing their relative distance upon angle according suggested strategies. schemes aim at maintaining desired size orientation with respect radius order take advantage variations gravitational field along elliptical orbit. results demonstrate that total energy follow prescribed temporal profile controlling on orbit accurately track target. Analytical estimates for satellite’s versus number cycles determined from closed-form solutions. Results both analytical numerical integration sufficient agreement.

Small Satellite Attitude Control Using Linear Moving Mass Actuators
The subject of this research is to study the use of internal moving masses as the primary means of attitude control for a small satellite platform. The goal of this research is to validate the dynamic model formulated in [1] which describes the under-actuated rotational dynamics of a 3U cubesat with two internal orthogonal linearly translating masses. Models have been developed to simulate angu...
متن کاملModified L1 Adaptive Control Design for Satellite FMC Systems with Actuators Time Delay
A modified method for satellite attitude control system in presence of novel actuators is proposed in this paper. The attitude control system is composed of three fluidic momentum controller (FMC) actuators that are used to control Euler angles and their dynamics is considered in satellite attitude equations as well. L1 adaptive control is utilized for satellite three-axial ...
متن کاملControl of Micro-Satellite Orientation Using Bounded-Input, Fully-Reversed MEMS Actuators
We present a novel technique for controlling the attitude of microsatellites using MEMS-based microactuators. In addition to being restricted in the magnitudes of inputs, most microactuators need to be returned to their original inactive state at the end of the attitude control maneuver in order to reduce energy consumption. This type of bounded and fully-reversed actuation on a free rigid body...
متن کاملActive vibration control (AVC) of a satellite boom structure using optimally positioned stacked piezoelectric actuators
In this paper, results for active vibration control predicted from experimental measurements on a lightweight structure are compared with purely computational predictions. The structure studied is a 4.5m long satellite boom consisting of 10 identical bays with equilateral triangular cross sections. First, the results from a Fortran code that is based on a receptance analysis are validated again...
متن کاملMartian satellite orbits and ephemerides
We discuss the general characteristics of the orbits of the Martian satellites, Phobos and Deimos. We provide a concise review of the various descriptions of the orbits by both analytical theories and direct numerical integrations of their equations of motion. After summarizing the observational data used to determine the orbits, we discuss the results of our latest orbits obtained from a least...
